Welcome to ElectronicsFG. These Terms & Conditions govern the use of our website and the purchase of products through our online store.
ElectronicsFG is operated by Maritz van der Hoven CC, trading as ElectronicsFG, in Pretoria, South Africa.
By placing an order through our website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. All transactions remain subject to applicable South African consumer protection legislation.
1. Products and Availability
ElectronicsFG supplies electronic components, modules, development boards, tools, accessories and related products.
We make every reasonable effort to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, images, pricing and availability information are accurate.
Product images are for illustration purposes and may differ slightly from the actual product.
Stock availability may change without notice.
Certain products may require special ordering from suppliers.
Estimated lead times are provided in good faith but may change due to supplier availability or shipping delays.
If a product becomes unavailable after an order has been placed, we will contact the customer to discuss alternatives, revised lead times or a refund, as applicable.
2. Pricing and VAT
All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR).
Product selling prices displayed on our website include VAT unless explicitly stated otherwise. VAT-exclusive values may also be displayed for reference.
We reserve the right to update product prices and correct genuine errors in product listings. If a material pricing error is identified after an order has been placed, we will contact the customer to resolve the matter in accordance with applicable law.
The final order total, including applicable delivery charges, will be displayed during checkout.
3. Orders and Payments
Orders may be placed through our website using the available checkout options.
We accept payment through supported online payment methods and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).
Orders are subject to product availability and payment confirmation.
EFT orders are processed once payment has been verified.
An order acknowledgement does not guarantee immediate stock availability or dispatch.
Customers must provide accurate billing, contact and delivery information.
ElectronicsFG may contact customers to verify order information or resolve discrepancies before processing an order.
4. Shipping and Delivery
ElectronicsFG delivers throughout South Africa using third-party courier services, including Fastway Couriers and The Courier Guy.
Available delivery methods, estimated delivery periods and shipping charges are displayed during checkout or on our Delivery Information page.
Delivery estimates generally apply from the date of dispatch rather than the date the order is placed.
Courier delivery times may be affected by location, public holidays, weather conditions and other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We will make reasonable efforts to resolve delivery problems promptly. Customers retain all rights relating to delivery and order fulfilment under applicable legislation.

5. Returns, Refunds and Warranties
ElectronicsFG respects customers' rights under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA).
Online Purchase Cooling-Off Period
Where applicable under ECTA, customers may cancel an eligible online purchase within seven days of receiving the goods, without providing a reason.
The customer may be responsible for the direct cost of returning goods where permitted by law. Statutory exceptions apply to certain categories of products.
Applicable refunds will be processed within the legally required period.
Defective or Incorrect Products
Products that are defective, unsafe, incorrectly supplied or do not meet applicable statutory quality requirements may qualify for repair, replacement or refund in accordance with the CPA.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any statutory warranty or consumer right.
Special Orders
Products ordered specifically for a customer may have additional supplier lead times and conditions, which will be communicated where applicable.
Special-order status does not automatically exclude a product from statutory cancellation, return or warranty rights.
Return Requests
Customers are encouraged to contact ElectronicsFG before returning products so that the return can be assessed and the appropriate procedure communicated.
Return requests can be submitted through the Returns section of our website or by contacting us directly.
6. Technical Product Information and Usage
Many products sold by ElectronicsFG are intended for electronic projects, technical applications, development or installation.
Customers should ensure that products are suitable for their intended applications and are used within their specified electrical and operating limits.
Incorrect installation, wiring, polarity, supply voltage or misuse may cause damage to equipment or create safety risks.
Where necessary, installation should be performed by suitably qualified persons.
ElectronicsFG cannot guarantee compatibility with every application unless specifically confirmed. This does not affect any product guarantees, representations or consumer rights provided by law.
7. Website Usage
Customers may use our website for personal, educational, commercial and business purchasing purposes.
Users may not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with its operation or engage in fraudulent or unlawful activities.
Website content, including product descriptions, graphics and original materials, may not be reproduced commercially without permission, except where permitted by law.
8. Limitation of Liability
ElectronicsFG takes reasonable care to provide accurate product information and reliable services.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, ElectronicsFG is not responsible for losses arising from circumstances outside its reasonable control or from improper installation, misuse or unauthorised modification of products.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by South African law, including liability arising from gross negligence or applicable statutory product-safety and consumer-protection obligations.
9. Privacy and Personal Information
We collect and process personal information as necessary to manage customer accounts, process orders, arrange deliveries and provide customer support.
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable South African data protection legislation, including the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

10. Changes to Terms & Conditions
ElectronicsFG may update these Terms & Conditions periodically.
Updated terms will be published on our website. Changes will not retrospectively remove rights or alter obligations arising from completed transactions where prohibited by law.
11. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Nothing in these terms limits a customer's right to approach an appropriate consumer protection authority, ombud or court where applicable.
